StanChart, IOE sign agreement

Standard Chartered Bank and International Office Equipment (IOE) have recently signed an agreement.
Under this agreement, all Standard Chartered Credit Cardholders (except Saadiq Credit Card) will enjoy InstaBuys @ 0pc interest facility from nominated showrooms upon purchase of IOE's energy saving products such as The AIRCOSAVER - which is the first of its kind in Bangladesh.
Debit Cardholders will get up to 18pc discount on usage of their Debit Cards or Saadiq Cards on Account. All Instabuys @ 0pc interest facility will have 24-month instalment plan.
Through this partnership, Standard Chartered aims to encourage its cardholders to become more environment-friendly and help save valuable energy for our nation.
The AIRCOSAVER's products are designed to detect overcapacity and avoid inefficient overcooling to achieve average energy savings of about 20pc (depending on local conditions, can be up to 30pc or more).
This technology cuts down on bills, energy consumption and helps our environment by reducing Carbon Dioxide emission.
Mr. Gitanka Datta, Head of Cards of Standard Chartered Bank & Mr. Asif Aftab, Chief Operating Officer of IOE signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations. Other senior officials from both the organizations were also present at the ceremony.
